This made no sense. They're big so they can drive on narrow sidewalks, narrow alleys and road. and make small turns? That sounds like the exact opposite of what big is..

that's because they are not big compared to north american fire trucks.
He says that's why they are as big as they are, which doesn't state that they are big nor small. But he could of said that's why they are the size they are.
